Welcome to MD Aquarium (mdaqua.lk). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and the purchase of any products from our online store. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

1. General Conditions

  • By placing an order on mdaqua.lk, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or accessing the site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion, including cases of suspected fraud or violation of these terms.

2. Product Information & Pricing

  • Accuracy: We strive to display product specifications, dimensions, images, and descriptions as accurately as possible. However, actual packaging or minor technical details may vary slightly based on manufacturer updates.
  • Pricing: All prices are listed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Availability: Products are subject to stock availability. If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will notify you promptly to arrange a replacement, backorder, or full refund.
  • Pricing Errors: In the event that a product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, MD Aquarium reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders placed for that item.

3. Orders & Payment

  • Order Confirmation: After placing an order, you will receive an automated email confirmation summarizing your purchase details.
  • Payment Methods: We accept secure online payments via authorized payment gateways, bank transfers, and Cash on Delivery (COD) where eligible.
  • Payment Verification: For bank deposit orders, order processing begins only after payment verification and receipt confirmation.

4. Shipping & Delivery

  • We deliver to residential and commercial addresses across Sri Lanka via trusted third-party courier services.
  • Delivery charges are Rs. 500 for the first 1 kg, with an additional Rs. 125 charged for each subsequent 1 kg.
  • Estimated delivery times are typically 2 to 5 business days depending on your location. Delivery times are estimates and may be subject to unforeseen courier delays, weather disruptions, or public holidays.
  • Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping details. MD Aquarium is not liable for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect addresses or unreachable contact numbers.

5. Equipment Usage & Liability Disclaimer

  • Safe Operation: All electrical aquarium equipment (heaters, pumps, filters, UV sterilizers, and lights) must be installed and operated in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s user manual.
  • Dry Running & Submersion: Submersible pumps and heaters must never be operated dry (out of water). Damage resulting from dry burning or improper power supply voltage is the sole responsibility of the user.
  • Water Treatments & Chemicals: Medications, water conditioners, and feeds must be dosed strictly according to tank volume calculations. MD Aquarium is not liable for livestock loss resulting from incorrect water dosing, overdosing, or improper tank parameter management.

6. Intellectual Property

All content published on mdaqua.lk, including logos, branding, website design, text descriptions, graphics, and layout, is the property of MD Aquarium or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
